{"id":1725,"date":"2024-03-24T22:57:14","date_gmt":"2024-03-24T22:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/contentsnare.com\/help\/knowledge-base\/approving-rejecting\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T18:46:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T18:46:12","slug":"approving-rejecting","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/knowledge-base\/approving-rejecting\/","title":{"rendered":"Approving &amp; Rejecting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Please keep in mind that this feature cannot be turned off<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a field has been submitted, you\u2019ll see the approval panel underneath it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Approving <\/strong>confirms that your client submitted accurate information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rejecting<\/strong> informs clients that changes are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_h0ZhNFMzqZ.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1613\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Note<\/strong>: You can also click <strong>Revise<\/strong> to modify your client\u2019s answer, but make sure you submit it after editing the field.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you approve an answer, the status of that field changes to <strong>Done<\/strong>. The system will also display a notification on the client\u2019s end that the answer is approved and can no longer be modified. You can undo the approval if you or your client need to make changes. To do that, click <strong>Remove approval<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Pro tip<\/strong>:. You don&#8217;t actually need to approve items, as it&#8217;s an optional workflow. However, there is a webhook on &#8220;field approved&#8221; that you may wish to use in your automations. Learn more about webhooks <a href=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/knowledge-base\/webhooks\/\">here<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you reject an answer, the status of the field changes to <strong>Redo<\/strong>. In this case, a pop-up appears asking you to explain what needs to be changed. You don\u2019t have to leave a comment, but we encourage you to do so because it helps the client to understand your requirements. Once done, click <strong>Reject<\/strong> on the bottom-right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_fZyM8PWnE4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1612\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Note<\/strong>: Clients don\u2019t see the terminology \u201creject\u201d. Instead, they receive an email saying that you left a comment on one of their answers, and the question is highlighted in yellow with the term <strong>Redo<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using the <strong>default reminder schedule<\/strong>, your client will receive an email notifying them that changes are required. Learn how to customize a reminder schedule here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individual file rejection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the client submits multiple files or images to the same field, you can approve or reject them all in a single click:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_8SZ4FF7ydD-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1614\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But if only some files need to be changed, you can reject individual entries instead of rejecting them all. This is handy when a client has got most of the files right, but you only need them to reupload some of them. In this case, click <strong>Reject<\/strong> on the right and leave a comment.
