That includes many of the same <a href=\"#keyboard-shortcuts\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#keyboard-shortcuts\">keyboard shortcuts<\/a> you are used to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customizing tables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tables are one of many field\/question types in Content Snare. When you add a table to the request, you can customize it as you see fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding rows\/columns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click into the final, empty row in the table and begin typing to add a new row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another option is to click the plus icon to create as many rows or columns as needed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_xjW5CwPq4Q-1-1024x528.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1815\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For more layout flexibility, it is possible to resize table columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also paste in data. If what you are pasting is larger than the current table, it will automatically create new rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Note<\/strong>: To allow clients to add new rows, you need to enable this option in <strong><a href=\"#table-setting\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#table-setting\">Settings<\/a><\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting rows\/columns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you highlight a range of cells and press <strong>Delete<\/strong>, it will clear the contents from those cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to delete a row, click the dotted area on the left and choose <strong>Delete Row<\/strong> from the drop-down menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_dEsmQRbZfs.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1816\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Note<\/strong>: You can use the same drop-down to <strong>Select Row<\/strong>, <strong>Add Row Before<\/strong>, and <strong>Add Row After<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Columns have similar options that you can access by clicking the dotted area next to their name:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_vu5zr3ZCDS.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1817\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One extra option is to <strong>Lock Column<\/strong>. Locked columns are for information only and cannot be edited by your client. These are shown in gray with a padlock icon in the column header:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_OFc2PCrk1g.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1818\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required columns in tables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When editing table columns, you can set them as required \u2014 click the dotted area on the right and select <strong>Require Column<\/strong> from the dropdown menu:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"628\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2738\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4.png 628w, https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4-50x28.png 50w, https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4-60x34.png 60w, https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/unnamed4-100x57.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you mark a column as required, respondents will see a notification stating that all required columns must be answered.&nbsp;<br>Should you wish to undo this, just click <strong>Remove Required<\/strong> from the dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Undo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you make a mistake entering data or accidentally delete content, press <strong>Ctrl+Z <\/strong>to undo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your clients can undo actions in table fields using Ctrl+Z, but they can also do it through the <strong>Table Actions<\/strong> drop-down menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_WcCnj198lL-1024x338.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1819\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Copy and paste<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have data that you would like to paste in from a spreadsheet, copy it from your source (Ctrl+C) and paste it into Content Snare (Ctrl+V).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also right click on a cell and select <strong>Paste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you highlight a range of cells and Paste, it will only fill the area that you have highlighted. To Paste everything that you copied, select only one cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drag and drop rows\/columns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you wish to change the order of rows or columns, do it using our drag-and-drop feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the row\/column you\u2019d like to move<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hover over the dotted area next to its name&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drag the row (up or down) or column (right or left) to the new position&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_Jl21V35HuN.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1820\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"table-setting\">Table settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the <strong>Settings<\/strong> icon in the upper-right corner of the table to access the Settings menu. From there, you can use the toggle bar to enable or disable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Instructions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow additional rows&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow multiline text<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.contentsnare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/chrome_TCrtpfwEY8-1024x294.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1821\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"keyboard\">Keyboard shortcuts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moving around the table<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Up\/Down\/Left\/Right Arrows<\/strong>: moves to adjacent cells. Readonly cells are skipped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tab\/Shift Tab<\/strong>: move to next\/previous cell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+Home\/End<\/strong>: move to first\/last cell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+Left\/Right<\/strong>: move to first\/last cell in the row<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+Up\/Down<\/strong>: move to first\/last cell in the column<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selecting cells<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Holding SHIFT while using arrows, home, end, or CTRL+arrows\/home\/end<\/strong>: Select multiple cells<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+A<\/strong>: Select all. If a cell is being edited, CTRL+A will first select the cell contents and will select all when CTRL+A is pressed a second time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Working with table contents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CTRL+Z<\/strong>: Undo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+C<\/strong>: Copy current selection. If nothing is selected, copy the entire table<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+X<\/strong>: Cut selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DEL\/Backspace<\/strong>: Delete selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL+V<\/strong>: Pasted CSV delimited content. If some cells are selected, it will trim the data to fit in the selection.
