Content Snare\u2019s Xero Practice Manager (XPM) Integration automatically imports your clients and contacts from XPM, so you can send them Requests without recreating them manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To move forward with this integration, you will need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Have Administrator<\/strong> level access on your account<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Be on a plan that allows XPM integration (Plus and above)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Enforcing company-wide MFA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Integrating with XPM requires that you enforce MFA (also known as 2-factor authentication) for all team members on your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Navigate to Settings -> Company<\/strong> and scroll down to the Security <\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Enable this option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Connecting your XPM account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Next, move over to the Integrations<\/strong> settings page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Scroll down to Xero Practice Manager and click the button to integrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      On the next screen, review the access Content Snare will have to your account, and click Allow access<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You will be redirected back to Content Snare. The XPM box should now look like this. Note that next to Connected Tenant<\/strong> you will see the name of your XPM organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Sending Requests to Clients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Now that you have connected your account, your XPM clients and contacts will appear in the client dropdown when you send a request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When you are on the Finalize step of a request, open the dropdown to select a client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This list includes your XPM clients. Any clients that have been imported from XPM are marked with the blue Xero logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How the XPM integration works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      How XPM clients and contacts map to Content Snare<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      There is a difference in terminology between XPM and Content Snare. In XPM, a \u201cclient\u201d is generally an entity, and the \u201ccontact\u201d is a person under that entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In Content Snare, a \u201cclient\u201d is a person who has an optional \u201ccompany\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The clients you see in this dropdown are a combination of XPM Clients <\/strong>and Contacts<\/strong>. If you have a client called \u201cStark Enterprises\u201d that has 2 contacts called \u201cTony Stark\u201d and \u201cMelinda Stark\u201d, they appear as 2 clients in Content Snare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Creating clients from your XPM clients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Content Snare clients are created when you click an XPM client in the dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If the email address from the XPM client is not found in Content Snare, the client is created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If the email address already exists in Content Snare, you will be prompted to merge or overwrite the client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      FAQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      How do I disconnect from Xero?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Navigate to Settings<\/strong> -> Integrations<\/strong> and click the Remove<\/strong> button under Xero Practice Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Can I import data from Content Snare into XPM?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Not yet. This is a read-only integration where your clients are imported into Content Snare. In the future, we may allow creating clients in XPM based on data in Content Snare requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When does data sync occur?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
