Web Business Weekly #58

Wow. What a crazy few weeks that has been.
A couple of days ago I got back from 6 weeks in Bangkok & Chiang Mai, where I hung out with other online businesses owners pretty much day and night.
There was a lot of fun for sure. People have been making fun of my social media for the apparent lack of work it portrayed.
However the last few weeks involved more high-level business stuff than I’d normally get in a couple of years.
There were impromptu meetups because we happened to be in the same cafe at the same time. We’d work on each others’ marketing, copy and websites.
I connected with future joint ventures over lunch. Looked through successful ad campaigns for other businesses. Got new clients and became a client of others
Why am I telling you all this?
Mostly because I think if you can spend more time hanging out with other people that are going through the same crap we all are… it does wonders for your mindset.
The business world can come with so much BS attached. Like dressing up because it’s expected by clients. Ass kissing. Awkward networking.
In this environment, none of that seems to matter.
On top of that, if you choose the right people to work beside, you can get real time feedback of marketing and product ideas.
If you can find a way to get more of this, I think it’s good for you. Now that I’m home, I’m thinking of ways I can get some cool people together regularly.
Do you do any coworking or social stuff with other business owners?
