Web Business Weekly #63

Earlier this week I finished reading “Bad Blood”. It’s about Theranos, which was once the most valued business in Silicon Valley… and it was all based on lies about technology that didn’t work.
It’s not often I read a non-fiction book that is hard to put down. The story is almost unbelievable.
It had a huge impact on me in a few ways.
First I found it so amazing that so many smart people were sucked into the lies and totally believed the founders lies, all because she was so charismatic and enthusiastic.
Second I was blown away that someone could be so messed up that they could lie non-stop to people that trusted them and keep a straight face.
It made me wonder how many times I’ve be sucked into things. It also connected some dots for me around hero worship – where people hang off every word someone says.
Definitely worth a read!
Grab it on Amazon – just search for Bad Blood, and dodge the Taylor Swift stuff
