Summary
Content Snare now has a $1/month plan that gives you access to run AML screening as part of your client onboarding. AML checks cost $5 per credit on top. You can use it as a standalone screening tool or pair it with a structured onboarding workflow.
For detailed information about our AML screening, see how AML works for details.

Why we built this
The Tranche 2 AML reforms take effect on 1 July 2026. For many accounting firms, this is the first time they’ll need to run identity verification, PEP checks, sanctions screening, and adverse media checks as part of their standard client onboarding.
We wanted to remove the subscription cost as a barrier to getting started.
How the plan works
The AML plan is $1/month. It gives you access to run AML screening within Content Snare, as long as every request you publish includes at least one ID Verification / AML field. It doesn’t matter which checks you enable on that field. As long as it’s there, you’re good.
Note: The plan is limited to 10 users.
Credit costs
AML verification fields use credits. Credits cost $5 each.
- Stripe Identity: 1 credit per verification
- ComplyCube: 1 credit for standard checks, 2 credits if any premium features are enabled
You’ll need credits loaded in your account before clients can complete a verification. You can also enable auto top-up so you never run out. See How AML works for details.
How to use it for Tranche 2
Option 1: Standalone AML screening
At its simplest, send a request with just the verification field and nothing else. Your client completes the identity check and screening, you review the results, done. This works if you already have a separate onboarding process and just need to add AML screening to it.
Option 2: Pair it with client onboarding
You can also build a request that combines AML screening with the information you’d normally collect during onboarding:
- Initial questionnaire: client details, company structure, beneficial owners, PEP and sanctions self-declarations, source of funds, purpose of engagement
- Previous accountant details: information needed for the transition
- Document collection: ID documents, proof of address, trust deeds, company extracts
- KYC/AML verification: identity check, document check, and screening against 2,500+ global sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and crime databases
- Internal risk assessment: fields only your team can see, where you record your CDD findings, risk rating, and compliance sign-off
Your client works through it step by step. Everything auto-saves, so they don’t have to finish in one sitting. If they stop halfway through, automatic reminders bring them back.
When complete, you can export the entire package for your records.
What’s included in the screening
- ID verification (document check, facial matching, liveness detection)
- Screening against 2,500+ global sanctions, PEP, and adverse media databases
- Crime databases (organised crime, financial crime, tax crime, trafficking, associated entities)
- Proof of address verification
- Age estimation
Getting your templates ready early
The plan is available now. Even if you’re not planning to run AML checks until closer to July 2026, there’s value in setting up your onboarding workflows early. Content Snare includes pre-built templates based on the AUSTRAC Tranche 2 starter kit guidance, covering individuals, companies, trusts, government bodies, and periodic reviews. These are fully editable, so you can adapt them to your firm’s processes.
