Using a simple naming convention helps you keep requests, files, and folders organized. This is very useful for businesses and individuals who manage a large number of requests.
Naming conventions for requests
The way you name requests is completely up to you, but you should include some specific identifiers. There are also some naming conventions that work well in most cases. For example, you can use some of these options:
- Project Name
- Project Name — Date
- Client Name — Project Name
- Client Code — Project Name
The request name is visible to your clients and you can also use it as a placeholder in emails.
Naming conventions for folders
Using a consistent naming convention for folders will also make your work a lot easier. Because Content Snare only supports one folder level, you can use a dash-based naming convention so that you can separate requests based on more than one category. For example, you could use a folder name like:
- Year — Work Type
Paired with a dedicated requests naming convention, this will help you find just about any folder or request quickly.
